IEC 60533: EMC Testing of Ships with Metallic Hulls
Standard Overview
IEC 60533 is an international test standard dedicated to the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing of ships with metallic hulls. IEC 60533 defines the minimum testing requirements for the components and devices integrated into ships with metallic hulls in both immunity and emissions testing. Following IEC 60533 protects equipment on board from electromagnetic interference caused by rogue emissions and the risk of unforeseen interference by lightning strikes, circuit breaker transients and radio transmitter radiation.
