ATEC Offers the Best Rental Solutions to Suit Your Flicker & Harmonics Needs
At Advanced Test Equipment Rentals, we’re dedicated to offering the best rental solutions to suit your needs: which is why we carry Newtons4th Flicker & Harmonics testing solution. The Newtons4th PPA5531 Flicker & Harmonics Analyzer and IMP753 3 Phase Impedance Network – two recent additions to our constantly growing fleet of test equipment – are available for rent and can be ordered with next-day shipping.
Rent Newtons4th PPA5531 Flicker and Harmonics Analyzer The PPA5531 Flicker & Harmonics Analyzer is fully compliant, offers sophisticated data reporting, and features various measurement modes such as power, harmonic, RMS, LCR, scope, and more. Its optional counterpart, the IMP753 3 Phase Impedance Network, can effectively be configured to meet specific testing needs, and can be configured in both 1 phase <16 Amp and 3 phase <75 Amp modes.
Rent Newtons4th IMP753 Impedance Network Whatever equipment you rent from ATEC, we want to make sure you’re able to get the most out of it. We sat down with Jamison Berg, one of our EMC Engineers, to ask him how our customers can really capitalize on Newtons4th Flicker & Harmonics and Impedance Network rental equipment. According to Jamison, there are a couple things to keep in mind:

According to Jamison, there are a couple things to keep in mind:
- Linear AC power supplies are a better source of power than a switching power supply, simply due to the harmonics created within a switcher. For accurate results with less interference, use a linear power supply when conducting tests, like Jamison suggested.
- According to flicker standard 61000-3-3, the percentage of total harmonic distortion of the supply voltage must be less than 3%. Impedance networks are only required for flicker testing (3-3), used as a reference when you are calculating flicker severity in terms of power. To meet standard 61000-3-3 and collect accurate results, make sure you connect the IMP753 3 Phase Impedance Network to a linear AC power supply.
- Fully compliant testing is not dependent on the right hardware alone – software is imperative to completing analysis and comparing measurements to the current IEC standards. Fortunately, the Newtons4th PPA5531 Flicker & Harmonics Analyzer does come with software for effective analysis of your results.
