The Megger TXL 870 Extra Load Unit is designed to increase the load capacity of Megger TORKEL battery load testers for high-current discharge testing. It supports up to 112 A at 140 V and 56 A at 280 V, with a maximum power output of 15.8 kW. The unit offers three selectable resistance settings (4.95 Ω, 2.48 Ω, 1.24 Ω) and connects directly to the battery under test, while current is monitored by the TORKEL system. The TXL 870 operates from 100–240 V AC and includes safety features such as thermal cut-outs and overload protection.
