Standard Overview

The ITU K series are recommendations for protection against interference. The K recommendations cover every aspect of the telecommunications system and include protection components.
The K series recommendations are comprised of the following:
  • K.5: Joint use of poles for electricity distribution and for telecommunications

  • K.7: Protection against acoustic shock
  • K.8: Separation in the soil between telecommunication cables and earthing system of power facilities
