Semiconductor Parameter Analyzers, often referred to as Curve Tracers, are used for characterizing electronic components such as transistors, diodes, resistors and capacitors. Useful data is collected from this type of analyzer, primarily current vs. voltage in a form called I-V Curve. With this curve, the Beta (β) value of a transistor can be acquired, which can help tremendously in semiconductor design. β is equivalent to the ratio of collector current to base current.
Key Specifications of Curve Tracers
- Voltage Source Units
- Current Monitoring and Resolution
- Pulsed Voltage Capabilities
- High Speed Sampling Rates
- # of Channels for DUT
