Multifunction calibrators measure a broad range of signals including frequency, voltage, temperature, resistance, and pressure, giving technicians insight for calibrating test equipment. A cal tech's ultimate multitool, multifunction calibrators measure, source, and simulate from the palm of your hand.
Multifunction calibrators work by measuring temperature, frequency, voltage, etc. and generating a highly accurate output signal that can be utilized for calibrating other devices. They are used to calibrate electrical devices, thermocouples, RTDs, pH sensors, and pressure sensors. Common applications include voltage calibrations in aerospace and temperature calibrations like Resistance Temperature Detector, or RTD, testing. They can also calibrate 4 - 20 mA current loops in automotive test applications, and perform frequency calibration for equipment like particle counters or flow meters. Multifunction calibrators are also able to automate aspects of calibration, serve as data loggers, and communicate with HART devices.
