ETS-Lindgren 3104C Biconical Antenna was designed for Military and DOD EMI applications within the 20 MHz – 200 MHz range, but is finding use in other industrial applications. Constructed of welded aluminum, the phenolic balun network mounted elements are operating with components that match impedance, designed to comply with MIL-STD-461 as well as MilStd 462, MilStd 1541, MilStd RE102, SAE J1113 RI, and SAE ARP 958. Your antenna rental and testing requirements may require additional equipment (organized by equipment and manufacturer) offered by Advanced Test Equipment Rentals.
The 3104C antenna was calibrated during manufacturing and is included with the antenna, providing gain and antenna factor vs. frequency data. The coaxial wound balun provides moderate gain and a broad frequency range for radiated immunity measurement under 100W peak input power.
Measurement repeatability is greatly enhanced in vertical orientation by maintaining orientation from one measurement to another. The coaxial shield side of the element is marked with dimples or a white strip and keeping this side down will increase measurement precision.
