Data acquisition (DAQ) systems are used to measure physical properties and convert those measurements into electrical signals, which in turn can be analyzed by DAQ software on a computer. Common applications for DAQ systems include light, pressure, flow and force testing. The advantage of a DAQ system is that it allows operators to quickly convert measurements into data and store them easily, an essential capability for applications that require high accuracy, like manufacturing and construction. DAQ sensors sample the test subject and convert the measurements into electrical signals, which are converted into digital values with signal conditioning circuitry; an analog-to-digital converter then converts the signals to digital data.
ATEC offers affordable data acquisition rental rates for data loggers, signal conditioners, scope corders and more varieties of DAQ system.
